SRYA Soccer has produced a large number of top quality soccer players, many of whom proudly represent their local high schools - namely South River High Schools' Varsity and Junior Varsity teams.  SRYA Soccer has long been the foundation for countless number of players who have reached the pinnacle of youth soccer including Maryland State Olympic Development Program (ODP), Maryland President's Cup Champions, EDP Soccer Champions, Maryland State High School Champions, Anne Arundel County High School County Champions, and Anne Arundel County All-County High School Teams.

Building off the successful construction of on of Anne Arundel County's most well respected, successful, and popular county soccer programs, SRYA Soccer now provides an avenue for those rising players to remain with a well-respected organization while playing highly competitive soccer.

SRYA Travel Soccer teams will practice on some of the best kept, well maintained Bermuda grass fields in the county as well as play their games on artificial turf.

Tryouts are held in May of the Spring soccer season.  Unlike other clubs, SRYA Travel Soccer does not charge a tryout fee or require a commitment fee.  It is SRYA Soccer's philosophy to not financially tie a player's decision where to play based on a non-refundable commitment fee.  Rather, we believe players will find good coaches and a well run organization without the burden of a commitment fee.

You will find SRYA Travel Soccer Fees to be considerably less than that of other clubs with just as good coaching!  That is not because we are offering anything less, it is a cumulation of many aspects of how South River Youth Athletics is run as an organization.  We work tirelessly for the benefit of the children.  The average cost for travel soccer in the Washington DC metro area is $3,000 per year, requiring a full year commitment.  Locally speaking, travel fees range from $1,800 to as much as $2,500 for a full year commitment.

Here at SRYA Soccer, we take a much different approach.  Our fees are based per-semester (i.e., spring is one "semester" and fall is another "semester") and we do not require a full year commitment.  We feel, given the quality of our coaches, that players will come to and stay with SRYA Soccer.  Our cost per semester is approximately $500 for the fall semester and $500 for the spring semester which is due at the time of registration.
