Our goal is to teach our youth to play and compete in the game of football.  Whether preparing them to eventually move to tackle football or to continue playing Flag, we strive to instill the basic fundamentals of the game while teaching the safest possible techniques.  Along with the fundamentals of the game, we will also be teaching teamwork, sportsmanship, and fair game play.  As the ages advance so will the scope of the fundamentals.

Please note that this is Flag Football, while tackling and aggressive blocking are not allowed, there will be some contact in the form of light blocking, accidental knock-downs, etc.

SRYA Flag Football is a fast growing, fast paced sport. We have expanded the league up to age 12 in an effort to give players the chance to perfect their skills before moving to tackle. This sport is Co-Ed and all players are welcomed and encouraged to join. Cost to play includes uniforms. Players will still be responsible to provide their own mouth guards and cleats.

Spring Season-

Flag Spring Season is a perfect second sport. Practices are one hour per week and will be immediately followed by a one hour game. Practice/Games will be held on Friday evenings. The Spring Season is the perfect opportunity to try a new sport or to keep those skills fresh. Age groups will be 4/5, 6/7, 8/9/10, and 11/12.

Fall Season- 8/19/2024 Through 11/9/2024

Flag Fall Season will be a full season consisting of two practices a week (60-90 minutes depending on age) with games on either Friday nights or Saturdays. Age groups will be 4/5, 6/7, 8/9/10, and 11/12.

As always, we can only run these sports with the help of parent volunteers. If you are willing to coach or to be an assistant coach, please register or reach out for more information. We are also in need of volunteers for referees. This can be adult positions or teens looking to complete their community service requirements.
